Features A: Bond Strength Prime Gold TMT Bars have been specially designed to ensure that excellent bond strength exists between the bar and the surrounding concrete. Prime Gold has values which are 100-200% higher than those of Mild Steel Bars. B: Bending & Re-bending Prime Gold TMT Bars have excellent bending properties and may bend around small diameter norms and re-bend without cracking. C: Weldability Due to its low carbon equivalent, Prime Gold TMT Bars are more weld-able. It can be butt-welded or lap-welded using ordinary normal coated electrodes of matching strength. No pre-warming or post heat treatment is necessary if required to do manual arc welding. D: Corrosion Resistant Characteristics There are no torsional residual stresses in the bars, which result in superior corrosion resistance characteristics, as compared to traditional cold twisted bars. E: High Temperature Resistance Prime Gold TMT Bar retains more than 80% of its ambient temperature yield strength at 300°C and 40% at 500°C. F: Dimensional Tolerances Prime Gold TMT Bars are supplied with section weight lower than the nominal and are guaranteed for not more than the nominal and are guaranteed for not more than 1% heavy. G: Seismic Resistance Properties On conducting tests on concrete beam column joints reinforced with Prime Gold TMT Bars, to evaluate its performance under repeated strains, during an earthquake, the results revealed superior seismic resistance properties. |
